The SALOON in Vienna is run by the Julia Hartmann as well as Juliana Furthner and Pia Wamsler, who took over from Aline Lara Rezende and Doris Richter in 2024. The first SALOON Vienna meeting happened in Autumn 2017. They are holding monthly SALOONs at various institutions, such as museums, galleries, art fairs, collectors, independent art spaces and artists studios. They have over hundred members from all fields of art and continually try to connect its members through different formats like online studio and home office visits, networking events, and group exhibitions. They have organized the SALOON EXCHANGE program in 2018, and curated a group exhibition including SALOON members in 2018 in celebration of 100 years of women’s suffrage titled “Nothing Less!”
