Simona Binko, Anežka Chalupová, Anna Nová and Šárka Pastorková founded SALOON Praha in October 2019. Simona Binko is interested in facilitating cultural exchange between the Czech Republic and Germany. She works at the Czech Centre Berlin, where she is responsible for the gallery’s program and curates a series of talks on architecture ‘archint’. Anežka Chalupová works as the curator of collections and exhibitions at Art Zone 8smička in Humpolec. She is also the gallery assistant at Hunt Kastner Gallery in Prague. Šárka Pastorková works as an assistant for the Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art at the National Gallery in Prague. Since March 2020, Simona, Anežka and Šárka have been regularly organising events focusing on their local scene in the Czech Republic, which are open exclusively for SALOON members. During these meetings, members present their works, projects and exhibitions, or visit renowned artists, curators and other influencers in Prague’s contemporary art scene. Each event is followed by a subsequent dinner, which functions as a space for interpersonal exchange.
SALOON Praha is looking forward to future international collaborations with all SALOON networks.
